Hello Everyone,

I'm thinking about purchasing a 2002 Infiniti Q45 and the radio doesn’t work. The backup camera work, GPS work, CD changer works but the radio doesn’t work. Does anyone have an idea to how much repair this issue before I purchase the vehicle? Thanks for the help!!!!

One little quirk about this car. A component might be out, but it has a ripple effect across the car.

I have been battling overheating, and transmission codes and throttle body codes for the last 3 weeks.
could fiqure uot which was the 'chicken and which was the egg"

So I buy a new radiator..$129.00 delivered.
As I am removing the old one about 5 lbs of dust and dirt and crap fall uot.
Seems that farm roads are BAD! The space between the a/c radiator and the engine radiator is lined with foam and actually hols in the dust size dirt.
Now I know why I was overheating.....
and with in 5 hours, no more codes, the idle is at 575rpm, the transmission is smooth as silk and I get 30.4 mpg on a test run at 63mph.
THe 'overheating' puts the rest of the car in more than a 'safe mode'

Same thing happened with my MAF. All the suspension electronics lights ABS/VDC/? all were on and the trany was in safe mode.

When the codes come up, they tell you where the code is located(imho) not nessecaily what the real problem is.

I am not sure if CONSULTII (the infiniti OBD II) at the dealership ( I think) can read the body and electronic obd codes. THe store units only read the engine obd.

I'm not knocking it.
Bertween the FSM and the OBD II Scangauage, I have done more of my own work than I ever thought I was capable of. But I have learned not to "oreder a $400 throttle body" on the spur of the moment.!!
