I read someones reply to another problem this model was having. It involved the airbag warning light blinking continuously. The replier responed by saying that it was caused by the driver side seat beat being defective and that it was a recalled item. I researched this recall and couldn't find it anywhere. Can someone tell me where to find the recalled information to resolve this matter? I really appreciate it.

I haven't had the problem with my '02 Q45 but look under the seats for a loose connection. These models have side airbags that connect at the front bottom.

There may not be anything wrong with your airbag other than it somehow switched to the self-diagnosis mode. This happens a lot in the 90-96 Q45. Complete the self-diagnosis on page SRS-19 of your FSM to switch it back to user mode. If this isn't the problem the pattern of blinking lights will direct you to the real issue.

I have the same issue with my '02. I haven't done the repair yet, but my mechanic pulled this code:
B1086, PRE TEN FRONT LH (Open), that indicates a problem with the front left seat belt pre-tensioner harness. We found a TSB 03064 regarding this. It involves accessing the seat belt tensioner and cutting out a connector and re-soldering the connection back together. The TSB gives full instructions on the fix. I plan on doing mine in the spring when I pull it out of storage.
Good luck

Hello I just had this repair done by Nationwide Infiniti in Timonium MD on 2/27/12. My driver side seat belt had to be replaced which they covered $213.23. It also needed a wiring harness which was not covered $122 is what I had to come out of pocket. I also had the tsb done regarding the acceleration my gas pedal was replaced and the ECM was reprogrammed. My cost for that was $44.29. The car actually goes back to them next week to get a control module replaced for the transmission.

Thanks robausti. I will look into what you posted also at the dealership to see if my Q45 needs it.

Thanks acpower5 for your reply, but unfortunately the dealer wouldn't guarantee the safety of the passengers inside the car if I wanted repairs made that they didn't suggest. They diagnosed the problem to be a spiral cable in the steering column. After that repair, I haven't had any more problems with the warning light and the car passed inspection.
