so today i got my new aftermarket stereo in professionally installed. i ordered the jvc xr810 reciever to retain the stock look, it has bluetooth, ush, hd radio, fully loaded, metra axxess steering wheel control adapter, nissan antenna adapter, and the metra wire harness 70 7551. after install everything worked except the bose speakers are not very loud, i turned up the stereo all the way and it sounds half the sound my stock headunit use to give, the sound you can hear and it sounds good, but its not loud enough, i have to turn the volume up all the way to make it sound good, half way up and it sounds like its on low. i know other people had similar issues with the sound being too low, do i need to get the PAC ROEM NIS2? i also have aftermarket sub and amp installed in trunk. speakers are all stock bose, headunit is a jvc. please help. thanks

Only thing I can think of is the gain setting on your amp. If the output of your stock unit was higher than your aftermarket unit, the amp will just simply think its getting a lower volume signal. Turning up the gain would fix it if that is the case. Perhaps make sure the stereo isn't on attenuation mode as well.

I have the same exact problem right now. I just had my PIONEER stereo installed professionally a few days ago and noticed the same exact thing. It's not loud at all. My stock BOSE Stereo was so much louder. The guy said that I had to get an in-line amp to make it louder? Any thoughts on this? BTW I kept my stock bose speakers as well.

Your head unit's pre-amp voltage is below 2v hence the low volume level. This will fix your problems:

Thanks bro! I'm not a DIY kind of guy cause I usually mess things up so I'll just have the guy install it for me. Thanks again!

Looks like I'm getting ready to pull the trigger. The old stock head unit cassette deck died so my cassette adapter to MP3 player is now non functional. How's this parts list look. Anything missing?
