2002 I35 suspension and engine mod inquiry?

I have a 2002 I35, the struts are shot at 150k, i am looking for a good mix of ride comfort and performance.

Also my car is eating oil, 2 quarts within 3000 miles. I am having my shop pull the heads off to see what needs to be replaces, while they are in there is there anything i can have swapped out easily to give me a bump in performance?

About the only thing I can think of to do would be to put in a set of JWT cams (or port/polish the heads).
