Hey Folks - just purchased a 2002 I35 and new to the forum. . I have a shot driver's side low beam, so 'm trying to digest all the posts for dealing with these xenon bulbs - seems that a '02 Maxima post suggested to simply pull back the battery and go for it - another forum site insisted the bumper skin needed to be removed. I'm thinking of pulling the battery out entirely to get at the driver's side, but the passenger side seem obstructed by the fill pipe for the washer fluid. . Any tips??

I also have a non-operating rear window blind, yet the fuse looks ok - do the switches often go bad?

thanks!

While I am not sure about the I35, I was able to do the Maxima bulb by simply moving the battery out of the way for some additional room.

thanks - I did indeed have to remove the battery completely, the I35 space was simply far too tight to get at the 3 screws for the back cover. Most critical tool was a mini-socket wrench with a philips-head driver to remove the screws on a right angle.

now on to fixing the rear sunshade!

Yeah, I forgot you have to remove screws on the I35. On the Maxima you just unscrew the back cap and release the clip....

I did last week, I only took out the battery on driver side, and the windshield water pipe on Passn. side.

Hey Ronan - I did not think the fill pipe was removable, if so, that would make life far easier for the passenger side. . Di you have to drop the entire resevoir?

No, I just removed the windshield water fill pipe. It is removeable ,you only need to pull it out , but u need to make sure there is no water in the pipe.
