2002 I35 Interior Lighting Question

Hi,

I hate to be a noob, but here's the question anyways. (I did try searching and can't quite find the answer...)
I have a 2002 I35, no manual booklet.
When I open the doors (any door) the interior lights on the bottom rear of the front doors both turn on, but it's still dark due to the fact that the lights remain largely hidden by the front seats. The overhead light never comes on. When I close the door, the same lights immediately turn off. The only other illumination is the green circle by ignition switch.

My question is whether the other lights are supposed to come on, and stay on for a minute or so, or until you turn on the car, whichever comes first?

If so, is there some adjustment to it? The security timer doesn't seem to to anything for this, just timing the headlamps after you turn the car off.

There should be a switch for the overhead light, make sure it is turned to door. If it still isn't coming on, you probably need a new bulb.

Thanks, I finally figured it out. I'm a moron. I kept messing with the roof lights up front and getting frustrated, it's actually the roof lights in the middle! The slider switch has 3 settings, off, door, and on. The Door setting isn't marked, but there's definately a stop there, and it did work correctly after I left it in the middle.
