2002 Factory Bose issue

My factory installed Bose 6CD & cassette portion of my stereo have stopped working. The cassette plays for a second or two and then flips sides, plays for second and ejects. Screen reads Tape error. The CD doesn't open to load at all yet the FM works. Any Ideas? It's going to my daughter to drive and not looking to purchase and install a new unit if not needed. Any Ideas?

The stock CD changers are notorious for jamming and other failures. And the cassette portion, well, it's 9 or 10 years old at this point, and considering all the vibration the units are exposed to it's common for the cassette decks to fail as well.

You can get the 6CD changer repaired by someone on eBay who will correct the faults and prevent them from happening in the future if you really wish to stick with the Bose system. I don't know about the cassette deck.
