my mother has a 02 altima and she called last week saying that her sound is intermittent and has now gone all together. I live about 2 hours away from her so its a pretty good drive for me to get out to see her to just check her stereo. Anyways her and my dad took it to a couple places to get checked out and they diagnosed it as something faulty in the headunit and itd be 400 to send it in and fix it so she was pretty bummed...long story short im down for the weekend and bought her a new factory radio from a place online and its still doing the same thing. The radio looks fine you can see the stations and descriptions just no sound...to me it sounded like a short from the beginning but when i had the dash apart i couldnt find anything loose. Any ideas what to look for or where? maybe a bad amp? i checked all the fuses and theyre fine any help would be awesome...
