Hey guys. I have a 2002 altima SL and the problem is this. When I go in the mornings to start the car, 90% of the time it will drain the battery and wont start. It tries to turn over and it dies. But, when I push the gas pedal while turning it over, it will eventually start and stay on. I have changed the spark plugs, coil packs, MAF sensor. Can it be the crank position sensor or throttle body?

How is your fuel pressure? Try cleaning the throttle body and doing the re learn procedure for the throttle body. You can find the procedure on YouTube. Any check engine light codes? Oil in the spark plug tubes? Did you test the battery? Check the alternator? when your on the high way and floor it does it lack power?

Compression test the motor. So many people waste thousands on engines that will NEVER run and start well....................the mileage would be a start on that. And obviously a dead battery will add to the problem.

Need a clean TB and PCV valve open and flowing to get the correct idle air for starting.
