2002 Altima 3.5 SE Performance mods

Can someone point me to an existing forum discussion or help answer my questions?

I have 2002 3.5 ALtima that I love. Just got it a month ago with 130k miles on it

Seems a little sluggish compared to what I've read. Haven't dyno'd it, but doing 0-60 in about 8 seconds. I think I should get closer to 6-7. Anything I should check out for existing performance issues or loss of HP?

Also, what are my options for naturally aspirated performance mods? I don't need a beast, I just want a little more pep and surprise to other drivers. I normally drive pretty conservatively, and I want to take good care of this car, but I want power when I need it and feel like having a bit of fun.

Hello, and Welcome to NiCo! Congrats on the purchase, the 3rd generation Altima is a very nice pick up, with your issues, I would have the car looked at for a possible tune. I would check transmission fluid, air filter, spark plus, coolant fluid, etc., to ensure it is tip top.

Now for performance mods, Intake, exhaust, headers would be your best bet to beef up a little and still keep the car civil. Hope this helps, and have fun!!

Personally I have mostly Nismo parts on my Alty, Aem, Injen, Magnaflow, K&N, Stillen are some brands that may peak your interest. And I Ebay for all my parts
