Hey All,
We have started to have problems with our 2002 Altima SE 3.5 engine shutting down turning right backing out of a parking spot.I pulled out the scanner today and scanned it and the code that came up was P0345 Camshaft Position Sensor Bank 2.First off does anyone know where exactly this sensor is located so I can check to see if maybe?the plug might be coming loose? I took the plastic plenum cover off a few weeks ago to replace a coil and I am not sure if maybe I did something then or not? My wife drives this Nissan of ours so a quick correct response would be a great help right now! Thanks,Born

I think the cam sensors are known to go bad on the 3.5's.. Bank 2 would be the passenger side, it should be on the front of the engine toward the top. You could always check the plug for corrosion, but I bet the sensor is going to be bad.

You cant miss it.Looking at the engine from the front to the right hand side of the engine head it has a plug on it.If you look at the rear engine head you will see the other one with the plug. You have to take off the plastic cover on the top with the 4 bolts with a torx bit 25 0r 30 I think? I got my sensor from Rock auto. They were the least expensive I could find.Orielys wanted $74.99 If you cant see it that way i put 2002 Altima 3.5 camshaft position sensor location picture and it showed a good pic.

Bank 2 is the front head, it's located on the transmission side of the head with a black squeeze clip.
