Here is a pic of the Keuylian supercharger system for the 2002/03 Q45. This system uses a very efficient screw compressor with an air-to-water intercooler integral in the intake manifold casting. Nice engineering. 7.5psi boost, 100hp gain. 440 HP total, making this car faster than a M5 or E55 AMG.

Crank up the boost and let's go hunt down some Vettes!

Thanks Jason - Amazing that NICO members come up with stuff like this sooner than the auto enthusiast media!!!

Thanks. Actually, I first posted this almost a year ago on the other fourm. I never had pictures of the S/C until now. It's beautiful!

I'm not a fan of the body kit though. The whole exterior upgrade and full body kit upgade runs $14k. I think the S/C upgrade is around 4k.

Here's my original post:

You know given how few 2002's out on the road compared to the number of 97-01's out there and owners like myself that would think about plunking down 4k to get another 100 HP, you should think about doing one for us. The second gen are going to start getting more prevalent as their prices go down and their rep for reliability continues to grow.

The problem with axial superchargers is they affect emissions at idle thru cruise since you change the plenum thus the cost of emission testing and compliance can be 10 times that of a bolt on blow thru MAF - radial supercharger which does effectively nothing below 2500 rpm

Building a "one of for show" or racing is one thing building a cheap under $5,000 package for California/OBD2 Retail Sales is quite another.

Too much development time spread over too few sales.

Since the M45 uses the same motor (I think) and it's lighter (already quicker 0 to 60), would the hood allow enough clearance for the necessary upgarde? :)

I have seen a photo of the black Q45 before. It was sent to me by a gent in Australia by the name of Courtney Tassie.

He developed a blower kit for the new Q45/Cima. I guess that Keuylian is selling his kit.

The quality looks excellent. Someone took their time in building this setup.

If I owned a new Q, I would buy this kit in a moment. It is based on the Opcon supercharger which is much more efficient than the Eaton/Roots style blower.

After seeing these photos, I really want to pickup a new generation Q. It would be an awesome sleeper, especially in black.

Jason B, do have any performance numbers on this kit?

Sorry guys but the price tag is around $10K. There are a BUNCH of components AND tuning in this intercooled SC system. $10k may seem pricey but remember, $10k is a "normal" price differential between 6cyl and 8cyl versions of the same car or in MB case the diff between S430 and S500 pricing

With the supercharger you get essentially a 7 liter engine. Also, the power is with a STOCK exhaust system. Typically, forced induction engines respond VERY well to a higher flow exhaust. The Q has some nice exhaust parts stock, specifically the twin 60mm from the center silencers to the rear muffler, but the manifolding and Y pipe area are probably costing this engine another 100hp. So, start with the SC package and enjoy your instant throttle response and torque of a BIG engine with the fuel economy of a near stock car. When you are ready for more, go with a custom exhaust system and start having fun ALL over again.

10K isnt unreasonable for a well done system. Im not typically a fan of superchargers but they have there uses. Looks like a very nice install. I bet the butt dyno gets tickled nicely:). I think that packaging a Turbo setup for any Q on the factory V8 could be a daunting task for fitment, but if you could fit a big single the numbers off a turbo can make a supercharger look like a pair of headers:). Thanks for the Pics Jason!

I talked to these guys a year ago, they talk like it is a complete delivered unit if you want it that way, add the $ they deliver the car and it is financable and leasable. They also said they have arrangements to deliver it through Infiniti dealers around the country. I could not get the sales guy I talked to on the phone to committ on price or warranty or delivery though. He got shifty on me when I tried to pin him down. I was ready to buy, but he was not ready to sell for some reason, I found it very strange. If he had quoted me those prices I would probably have done it. Having said that, I am now a year older and wiser, and have watched many fellow Viper owners supercharge their cars. Let's just say there are 5 or 6 tuners on a national basis doing this, 2-3 have GREAT reputations to the point of getting on a plane cross country to make it work, another has a kit for self install and deals on the phone if problems arise and also has a good rep. The others have MANY unhappy customers. To take a Q or an M and drop another 10k, which is a GREAT price by the way, and then have no one to address service issues troubles me. If I lived near this dealer, no problem, but it would bother me being on the other coast.

I think the silver one is for sale in Seattle (Kirkland) for $46K. Same wheels, Brembos, and supercharger.

I remember a while ago reading a post about a TT Q45. Anyone know what I am talking about?

By the way, I wish I had that much money to buy a SC Q. Gosh I'd take it anyday over an S500...maybe even over an S55.

The key to the Positive displacement Set up is the intake manifold.

Is the 2002/2003 OEM Intake manifold different form the 94-96 Q45?
