2001 vs 2002 electric seat.

I recently purchased a 2002 qx4 that has the memory seat option. Like most of the others with this option the seat keeps freezing up. I also noticed that there are some components that are not far from failure due to wear so I think I'll need to do some involved repairs to get this seat working properly again.

I was able to locate a seat from a 2001 qx4 at a scrap yard that appears to be functional and in better mechanical shape than mine. The agent there says that his computer shows that the 2001 seat is different than the 2002 seat. Anyone have any idea what the differences might be and if it would be possible for me to canabalize parts from the 2001 to repair my 2002? I don't see any noticeable difference although air bags might be the culprit. I just need the electrical components for the seat movement so I suspect any other differences would be immaterial for my purposes. I searched around the forum but didn't locate anything that would address this specific question (could have missed it though). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In case you don't get any firsthand recommendations, the way you can get a pretty good idea of compatibility is pulling your existing seat out and measuring the distance between the mounting bolts, thickness of the bolts, and grab pictures of the connectors to seat heater, controls, airbag, etc. Maybe even note the color of the wires for extra credit. Just follow the precaution of disconnecting your battery for a period of time before disconnecting the airbag. I don't remember the duration offhand, so I'll say 30 minutes.

If the bolt positioning and size and the electrical connectors are identical, I'd feel pretty good about getting the seat.
