Hello.

My 2001 Pathy has a dead SES bulb. I'm wondering what size LED bulb would fit as a replacement? I may as well replace all of the other bulbs with LEDs while I've got the dash apart, I suppose. Are all the bulbs #74 as noted in this guide?

Thanks in advance.

I took apart the instrument cluster and looked at the bulbs. I couldn't find any markings about bulb size, but I think the bulb said "Toshiba 14V1.5W". I was unable to twist or pull the bulb out of the base. The bases are brown, not black as the larger cluster (I'm assuming) bases are. I would imagine #74 LEDs will be required to replace the bulbs with black bases, but what about the smaller brown ones?

I've swapped out the dead SES bulb with the working "O/D Off" bulb for now, since I'll be fixing the P1140 and P1145 codes soon and need to know whether the SES light goes out.

#74 with the twist lock base should work fine. I think there's a thread in the "How To" sticky that tackles this.

I've read that guide and found that it mentioned #74, but that was specifically referencing the cluster lamps which appear slightly larger.

I suppose I'll purchase two #74 LEDs to replace the cluster lamps and see if they fit in the other dash lights to make sure they fit before ordering more. Are the original warning lamps all white, and there's a filter or something to change the color, or are the bulbs themselves different colors (orange, red)?

The lamps are all clear/white and they've got plastic filters on the dash.

Thanks for the info.

Would I require these bulbs, or these? I'm leaning towards the latter as the base looks similar to the current ones (but there is no actual product picture, so I don't know).

Do you know what size bulb is used for the map lights? DE3175, same as the other two dome lights?

What's the difference between the two? I assume the NeoWedge lamps are for the warning indicators and the T1.5 are for the cluster lamps? Shouldn't I get some bulbs with 3 LEDs for the cluster lamps for more light dispersal?

I can't remember where I got mine but they're 3-led lamps. I can only illuminate my warning lights and turn signals because illumination for the QX4 is different then the Pathy. SlickRoger knows the answer as he's a pro with this stuff, send him a PM. I think his last post was in Qxxx4's update thread.
