2001 Sentra SE bumper conversion to SE-R

Hey guys new to this site and i got a question I got a 2001 sentra SE and I have a 2002 SE-R bumper to put on. Before I go tearing into tomarow is there anything special i have to do to put the bumper on???? Do i need any special parts that are on just the SE-R bumper, such as different brackets or clips?? Oh also will my SE billet grille work with the SE-R bumper?? thanks in advance!!

IIRC for an SE-R bumper to fit cleanly you will also require the front side Panels and the SE-R headlights.

Nope, bumper will bolt right on. 01s and 02s share front end designs. The grille may not fit right, though. The only time other parts are needed is when it's an 00-03 to 04-06 or vice versa, and that's just headlights, hood, and grille.

i have done this on my car. the foam support on the SE bumper isn't the same as the SE-R bumper. i replaced it with the correct one but you can probably get away with just cutting it to fit.

it will bolt up with the clips on your stock bumper. the billet grille i think is the same for 00-06's, so you still should be able to zip tie it i'm sure.

you'll need something to go on the lower grille area.

ok got the bumper on, now I need a stock mesh upper grille does any one know where i can get one? I keep lookin online but i only find the billet ones and i want the stock mesh one. (If anyones got one plz put up it on ebay)I got the SE Billet grille on it now but it just doesn't look right. I think im gunna try a local junk yard next week to see if they even have any 2002-2003 se-r's. TIA everyone!!

yeah, junk yard is your best bet. i didn't want to say anything but i really am not a fan of the billet grille, especially with the se-r bumper. the 2 stock grilles from the dealership are like 600 something bucks, so just keep an eye out on the forums and maybe try http://www.car-parts.com

i like the bottom billet grille but i want the stock top grille I think it'd look hot on a radium colored SE-R
