2001 sentra gxe possible transmission problem?

I was driving 80 on fwy, pedal is floored. Next thing I know, I'm only going 60, oedal still floored. Just had the clutch replaced a couple of months ago. Had the car towed and when I went to park it straight, a high pitch noise (almost like a belt ready to snap) came up, then went away. no other noises were heard, car did not overheat and everything else seemed normal. Manual transmission. Ideas?

Can you shift through all the gears without any problems while sitting still? Does the car still move under its own power? Could be transmission, could be half shaft busted as well. Who replaced the clutch for you?
