2001 sentra gxe possible transmission problem?

I was driving 80 on fwy, pedal is floored. Next thing I know, I'm only going 60, oedal still floored. Just had the clutch replaced a couple of months ago. Had the car towed and when I went to park it straight, a high pitch noise (almost like a belt ready to snap) came up, then went away. no other noises were heard, car did not overheat and everything else seemed normal. Manual transmission. Ideas?

If you had the clutch replaced why were you driving like that? I wouldn't be driving it like that unless you put "broke-in" miles on it. As for the noise, I'm not sure what that is unless I heard it..
