Post

Greetings, new here. I recently purchased a very clean 2001 Pathfinder. I'm excited to start doing a few things to it but there's a couple things right off the bat that are clear.

1) The suspension needs to be refreshed. Not sure if they tried to lower it but I want a good 2-3" above stock.
2) This guy has 20" low profile wheels on a 4x4. They have to go.
3) The stupid aftermarket HIDs, no, just no.

I looked through several of the lift threads and I didn't really see anything definitive or real outcomes/pictures
of the results.

So my question is really concerning #1 & #2. I was going to get the deluxe suspension package at 4x4parts. com
and then add a 1" spacer. This will be a weekend vehicle, not a daily driver.

But I got all freaked out by the whole "needing -3.75in backspace wheel" All the wheels I was looking at don't even come close to that. Clearly I'm new to the wheel thing. I was hoping to get 31s or 32s. So I'm looking for wheel/tire recommendations that will work with this lift kit and any concerns or complications about adding the 1" spacer.

Thanks,
Kris

FYI, a 30.5" tire diameter is the max that will fit under the front strut without wheel spacers. If you want a larger tire then you will need wheel spacers to push them outside of the strut. Check out my build thread, I have a 2" spacer lift and 30.5" tires, you can also see what I am referring to in regard to the strut on my post on 2/15/17. I also replaced the entire suspension (took a ton of hours)
