My QX4 exhibits the wobble that seems to be a common problem. Most of the information I found pertains to the pathfinder and older models. I can assume this information applies to my 01 QX4 as well correct? And I need to replace the rear control links?

TIA

i bought the car used, so Im going to assume it has 107k miles on it.

Any why shouldnt it apply to my car? Did Nissan update the suspension after a certain yr? From research the wobble issue is exactly my issue.

What is the wobbling like? Does it wobble left and right when you hit a certain speed or does it do it all the time? If it only does it around 50mph and higher it's probably your bushings i.e. trailing arm bushings. It's probably a good idea to replace your shocks and struts anyways.

Its only when I hit a certain, 60 or higher, and its a side to side wobble.

Let me guess, when you pull off the accelerator it regains it's balance right? It's the rear bushings. I have the names of which ones it is at work and will try to post tomorrow. I went through this about 5 months ago. Replace the shocks and struts, replace all the rear bushing and get a solid alignment. The longer you wait the more wear it will put on your car and you'll eventually have to have camber kits installed at the least.

Its the upper and lower rear control arm/links right? If you can post which ones they were to verify that would be awesome.

From what my undercarriage guy wrote on my invoice he replaced the 4 trailing arm bushings and when finished it felt like a new car.

I went to a place in Camarillo. I don't have the itemized receipt in front of me ATM but for the replacement of the 4 trailing Arm Bushings, Camber Kit, Wheel Alignment, Transmission Flush and parts my total was $808.45. I'm pretty sure you need a lift to do this job otherwise I probably would have tried it myself. So far this has been the single most expensive repair I've had to do on my QX4 and it's got over 180K miles on it.

BTW I usually Dive @ Vet's Park every week.

Vet's park is where Torrence Blvd meets the ocean, basically the Redondo Beach Pier. It's the park/beach on the south side of the pier. Are you a diver?

No but I thought about getting into it. Oh that Vet's park, I live about 1 mile from there. I just ride my bike over, and avoid the parking lot.

Nice! Diving is a pretty amazing hobby, especially out here where it all began. We have what's considered to be some of the best diving in the world. Nowhere else is anything like it. And Vet's Park is one of the best night dives around.

That's all up to the diver. Most instructors require you to purchase snorkeling gear(Mask, Gloves, Fins, Booties, and hood) Once you get that settled it about $400 to get certified. During your certification process your main life support gear is a free rental i.e. regulator, buoyancy compensating device, gauges, computers, wetsuit and tanks.

I was lucky and bought good gear the first time. There's a ton of routes you can go when it comes to that but safety is always the main concern, at least with the type of diving that we do. Plus there are some really poor SCUBA instructors out there and it pays to know who to use and who to avoid.

Does anyone know the actual name of the parts so I can order them? Searching for "trailing arm bushings" on parts websites gives me no results.

If you can order the first one, go for those as those are easier to install.

And YES, I do know that those two are different colors but trust me, they are meant for the same application.
