2001 QX4 vs 2002 model?

I’m wondering what the difference is in a 2002 Qx4 3.5 and a 2001. They are the same exact engine but when I look up O2 sensors I can find a killer package of all 4 for about $70. But say they only fit a 2001-2003 Pathfinder and 2002-03 QX4. They all have the same plugs. And there isn’t a difference between the Pathfinder and QX4 engine. So what gives? Does the computer see something special here? As I said I can get all 4 for $70 if for a Pathy or one yr newer. If I look up 01's they say actually fit a '01 there is a difference between left and right (I know up and downstream matter) but cost about twice as much buying them separate in a left or right side “kit”. Can I just use the 00-02’ Pathy's the same?

Early production models of the '01 QX4 have slightly different plug connections on the O2 sensor wires. The passenger side downstream exhaust tube was also different on the early models so the wire lengths for that sensor were also different. The later production models of the '01 QX4 have the exact same plug connections, wire lengths, and passenger side downstream exhaust tube as all the '01-'03 Pathfinders and '02-'03 QX4 models. Regardless of the production date or model, the sensors themselves are exactly the same. It's only the wire lengths (and I think that's only on the downstream passenger side) and connectors that are different on the early '01 QX4 model. I have noticed many aftermarket exhaust products will not distinguish between early and late production models so they just drop the '01 QX4 all together so as not to sell you something that might not fit even though it actually might fit just fine.

Yeah mine is a early 01’ 7/00 but they look identical to the 01 pathy. Same plugs I’m looking at. 3pin up and 4pin down. Guess I’ll take a shot if there is no function difference. My exhaust is pretty strait forward and these aftermarkets look pretty long. Thanks.
