2001 QX4 Transmission Sound?

Hi there,

In my QX4 while i'm in neutral or park, and rev it it will sound smooth throughout the powerband

however, when I am actually moving, inbetween the 2-3k rpm range it will make a small ticking sound....anybody have an idea what this could be?

i have almost the same problem but with a buzzing noise

i would say use the recommended gas and check your plugs i don't think that noise has ne thing to do with your trans take a closer look at the engine
