It's probably not worth getting a detailed restoration done but you can prolong its life. It wasn't worth it for me many years ago when I bought my used '02 Pathfinder with a very rusty looking underbelly. (frame, suspension, axle housing and differential, etc.) With a steel bristle brush and a stiff wire wheel brush on a drill, I knocked off all I could, cleaned it up, and covered it all in Rust Oleum Industrial black enamel. It's been 10 years since then and it still looks better, with no serious corrosion issues, compared to the day I bought it. I don't live in a salted road environment either, so that helps.
