The passenger seat on my QX4 will not go forward or back. The seat back will however go up and down.

Any idea at what the problem may be?

Thanks.

Ok, tapped on the motor and now it works. Obviously a temp fix.

What is that motor going to set me back?

I'm late on this but I just had the dealer fix mine per the TSB out of warranty.

It set me back $500.

I have the same problem on my 01 Pathfinder drivers seat. No forward or back, but up and down and the seat back work. Have not looked into replacing it yet. Found a motor at a salvage yard, but it broke as I was removing it.

I had the same problem a few years ago on my wifes 2001 QX4.. The problem was sometimes it would work, other times it would not.. I took the seat out and put it on a bench. I found that the 2 jackscrews on either side were out of adjustment from each other, meaning,, when the seat would go all the way back such as when shutting off the vehicle, one jackscrew would screw all the way out and bind before the opposite side would reach its limit and shut the motor off.. I took the binding jackscrew loose from its mounting and turned the screw block in so as to match the opposite side.. Seat hasn't malfunctioned since that time.

The Internet is a wonderful thing. I had the same problem,(2001q Infiniti QX4) now resolved. After having a mechanically adept friend replace my low beam and fog lamp bulb for $100 (after refusing to pay the dealership $1300 for the repair), I was told to get a replacement motor for the driver seat and he would install it. A Google search for that replacement part (the way I had found the bulbs) brought me to this thread. I went out, worked the switch while pulling the seat forward and....fixed! It's kind of like the shared intelligence of the BORG.

Great to hear it! Welcome to NICO. You're right that we do have something of a Borg collective here. :)

Stupid electric seat. Seems like every R50 has that problem. Where exactly is the motor located? My passenger seat isnt moving forward or back but I can hear the clicking.
