I got a P0171 code when i checked yesterday. Car has been running silly for the last few months, rough idle at start up, loss of power in the upper RPM's occasionally, etc.

My question is, will a MAF from a pathfinder work in my QX4? Also, were other MAF model years compatible with the 2001? Im just trying to give myself the broadest range of vehicles to look for in the junk yards...

Yes the MAP sensor from Pathfinder will work, as long as it has the VQ35 engine, distinctive with its plastic shield and "V6 3.5" emblem. I think the years are 2001-2004 but not sure.

Great. Also is there a way to test the mass air flow sensor on site with a DMM or something to make sure its in working order before i buy it?

i found a link for the FSM, but its not macintosh format compatible. Any place have a PDF version?

http://www.phatg20.net/modules...d=218 They are in RAR form, which means you need a winrar compressor to uncompress the files (they are pdf). Its like winzip. http://www.Download.com and find a .rar compression program that is compatible with mac.

EDIT: oops that is for a 99 QX4, different engine. Can anybody find the FSM for 01-04???

I tried that mac RAR converter yesterday, but its not compatible with OSx 10.4...

so i cant do the RAR format at all, and i cant get to a PC!

i was told from a maxima owner that the vq30 MAF works for a vq35 motor and costs less. thats what i heard i dont know if it is true
