2001 QX4/Pathfinder AC was not blowing cold. Freon was good, had replaced the compressor a few years before so was pretty sure the system was good. I notices the recirculate wasn't working. I took the air filters out and noticed there was several tree leaves in that area.
I ran the self diagnosis and when it gets to the 30s step it gives errors on 38 and 39. That's intake door motor. I can hear a motor running but nothing happens. I'm guessing there's a leaf or something blocking the valve from closing, and or I see on the Titans it can jump out of the guide track not sure if the Pathfinder is the same bad design. My question is, how do I get to this? Do I need to take off the wipers and remove that grill next to the windshield, go down through there and see if there's any debris? Anything I can get to under where the glovebox goes without taking the whole dash out, dealing with air bags, etc.?
Right now if I could just get the valve closed I would be happy.
