2001 Qx4 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER QUESTION

hi,

I don't know if this question has been asked before

I am trying to replace the instrument cluster on my 2001 qx4
I called the junkyard to know if the have one, and they asked me what year the car was manufactured
I told them that it was may 2000, they now told me that the one they have is from august 2000 and also from july 2000
I have looked at the picture and they look exactly as mine even the wire harness

my question is if I buy the july 2000 or august 2000 will It work? i just find this odd that it will not
