2001 QX4 Front Seat Motor Problems

Greetings all. I just found this forum and have seen some discussion about the front seat motor; seems like I'm not the only one who's motor has failed. Two questions:

1) Does anyone have any leads on where to buy a new motor? My mechanic and I have been looking for quite a while but with no luck.2) I saw a post from someone who indicated he "tapped on the motor" and it seemed like it got it working. Can anyone clarify what that's all about?

BTW, mine just hit 117K and I'm still loving it. My mechanic says it's about broken in - gotta love the QX4!

On another forum, a guy took his 175k mile VG apart and took pics -- it was from a 300zx, but hey same concept. The thing looked pristine on the inside. The engineering was phenomenal. I've never seen a VG33E apart before, but I'm sure there are similarities. I'm looking to get another 100k out of my QX. I'm sure the VQ is even better -- I know some people have reported problems but that engine, iirc, remains on Wards 10 best engine list, and has been there since 1995.
