2001 qx4 Factory amp location???

anyone know where the 2001 qx4 factory bose amp is located?

Also, if I put in a kenwood stereo, is it necessary to use a modular kit/device to connect the kenwood unit to the factory amp, or can I bypass this factory amp?

Main reason I'm curious is because I think the amp is causing an electrical issue in my car. The front speakers cut out and then 4 lights light up on my dash. When the speakers in the fron come back on, the lights go off.
