2001 QX4 Factory Amp Location???

Anyone know where the 2001 qx4 bose factory amp is located?

Also, I'm thinking of putting in a kenwood navigation system. Is it necessary to use a modular device to connected the kenwood stereo to the factory amp, or can the factory amp be bypassed and just run off the kenwood stereo?

The Bose amps are generally "piggy-backed" on the back of the speakers, which are 1 or 2 ohm. So, you either want to use an adapter (about $40) or re-wire everything and replace the speakers.
