Hello,

New as a member but have found this forum extremely useful before. Vehicle is experiencing intermittent start issue, e.g. cranks fine sometimes then will occasionally only 'click' once at starter. I have tried cracking in Neutral and the issue still exists. I purchased a new starter relay from AZ (https://www.autozone.com/batteries-star ... 155089_0_0) but can't seem to figure out where the darn thing is. My intention was to start there and work downstream to starter solenoid then starter motor. Neither of the relay boxes in the engine bay appear to list it explicitly. I have also checked the fuse block in the interior to the left of the steering wheel. Anyone got this skinny on the location? Thank you in advance for your help!

On the Pathfinder it is in the engine compartment fuse/relay box on passenger side, should be marked IGN 40
or something like that, so should be the same for the QX4

Sorry for the delay, just got around to switching it out. Turned out to be the N-P relay and it was in the fuse / relay box on the passenger side. Cranked up no problem the first couple of tries so we''ll just have to wait and see if problem was solved. If you don't hear from me for a while it is probably good news. Thank you 04pathse for the quick response!

No crank and no click were the symptoms of a bad starter relay for me. With a click was the starter motor, which I had to replace twice. You can read the last post of this thread here:
