2001 Quest - tightening power steering pump belt

I am trying to re-install the power steering pump belt, but cant get the belt tight enough. I loosened the
nut on the idler pulley and then adjusted the adjuster bolt to push the pulley further up by pushing on the bracket and
then tightening the nut. But it seems very difficult to tighten the belt by trying to push bracket up. Is this the correct way to tighten the belt? Is there an easier process?

Nevermind. I placed the nut on the idler pulley in the proper position above the metallic bracket.
