Are you still getting those two codes, or did you do anything to remedy them? They both point to the throttle position sensor, so I'd replace that before doing anything else. The TCM (transmission control module) gets a signal from the TPS too, specifically when the throttle is fully closed and when it's more than 50% open, so it wouldn't surprise me at all to find out a bad TPS is causing your problems.

If you end up buying a replacement, I'd recommend the Hitachi since they were the original manufacturer of our throttle bodies:

If you've already replaced the TPS, check the transmission fluid level (and get new fluid regardless, given it's as old as it is).
Do the RPMs drop when you shift it into reverse or drive from park?
