I have a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder - just tried the button for the sunroof - and no go. It would not open back nor would the other button that just flips the sunroof up work. Any thoughts? Suggestions? I just now hit 70K miles. I am the original owner and have not abused the truck in any way. I do not have kids - nor has any teenager ever driven the truck. I say this incase these may be factors in trouble shooting the problem. OR is it just "the motor" of the sunroof? My windows are slow going up in the winter - but not summer - is this problem related? Suggestions for fixing are appreciated. Sheena - Virginia Beach, VA

The windows are slow on all of them going way back. If you clean the channels, the performance improves for a few years before you need to clean them again. There are a couple of threads on the slow window issue.

On the sunroof, I don't know what that might be. It looks like they the windows and sunroof share the same fuse so it should be getting power. Couldn't hurt to check your fuse box, but I'm sure someone here is going to have the answer. I just thought I would speak up on the windows.

Just wanted to post the outcome of my sunroof problem. I took it to Hall Nissan (Virginia Beach, VA) - I previously noticed the adapter outlet wasn't working as well. I thought they may have the same connection (or whatever). I ask the tech. to check both the adapter and the sunroof out, he stated that the connector switch was disconnected. He reconnected it and the sunroof and adapter works. Sounds odd to me, but at least it didn't cost me an arm & a leg. Another place here in Virginia Beach, Aable Hitec Auto Electric Inc (3427 Holland Road) quoted me between $800-$1,000. I laughed in his face and left. He said that "it will cost this much anywhere you go." Hall Nissan charged $57! Best regards to all.

How can I fix this problem myself - Where do I look to reconnect the connector switch?
