Volume control nob on radio does not ajust the volume correctly. Sometimes it works and sometimes not. Volume control on left side of steering wheel works perfectly. Any suggestion are appreciated. It's the Bose radio with 6 CD changer.

MIne has been the same way for years, you turn it to the right and the volume goes down...to the left and it goes up. People who ride shotgun always get confused by that, so I just use the control on the steering wheel. Once thats shot, its time for a new radio.

Thanks for the quick reply. It's the only think that I've ever had problems with on the vehicle. It's got 80,000 on it and still runs like new. It's a silver SE. Actually it's my wife's vehicle. I just take care of it. I tool crappy step bars off because they were all rotted on the bottom and replaced the with stainless step bars. Looks sharp and different from other 01's thru 04's.

whoah, i thought i was the only one with that problem, for me, i push the knob up with a bit of force while at the same time turning the knob. Im looking to get a new head unit, but if i could find how to fix my volume knob, it would make my day for suree. i also have the bose with 6 disc cd changer.

I have taken off the knob before and tried to figure out what's going on, but I believe its an internal problem. I just dont mess with the knob ever, tend to notice when the passenger turns the knob and use my steering wheel control to adjust it based off of their inputs....most never notice its broken LOL

have the same problem, i have noticed that if you turn the knob slowly it helps to get the volume going in the right direction.

But i just order a new kenwood so i dont think that will be an issue anymore.
