Hi everyone. I have a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder with the codes P1610 and P1612. The fuel pump was replaced and the car will crank but will not turn over. I purchased the car last July and have had the same key since purchase. The car also has an aftermarket remote starter. I towed the car to Nissan where it sat for two weeks. Nissan could not figure out what was wrong, programmed a new key and charged me $300. I really need some advice as to what is going on and how to proceed? Thanks in advance and Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there.

I've never heard of that fault code before now.
Here's the basic info I got:

Was the aftermarket remote starter a recent addition, or was it on the car when you purchased it last july?

The aftermarket remote starter was in it when I purchased in July. P1610 is lock out mode and P1612 is Chain of IMMU. Both codes are causing my car not to start.

Saying goodbye to my Nissan Pathfinder as the dealership has stated that their consult program cannot connect to the computer to reprogram the keys. Wishes there was something else to do as it was a very clean car.

You can get a replacement ECU and key on eBay for less than $200.
