I bought my 2001 pathfinder used and the power windows have always been slow to open and close. Is there anything I can do for this?

I think the power window motors just get weak.

They make stuff called "EZ glide" available at home depot. It is a lube made for window tracks, sliding doors, etc. It comes in an aerosol can with a small straw like WD40, and you roll your windows down and douse all the rubber window tracks. Roll your windows up, then down again and repeat one more time. This helped me, but it didn't make it feel like a new car again...

Mine run slow too. . I just guess it's how the R50 works. I've never been in a new one though.

It also seems to me that in a lot of vehicles, the passenger motor is slower than the dirvers side window motor. Maybe they make the driver one stronger since it can be used more?

Somebody posted earlier that you needed to take the door panel off and clean/regrease the mechanisms.....They also said you didn't need a tool to pop the clips out. I started the way they mentioned, but quickly noticed that the tool would have been the right way to go. I ended up trading my pathy before borrowing my friends tool to do the job.

dealer sprayed silicone spray on the vertical guides with the window rolled down, ran the window up and down a few times, and voila, much better.
