I have a 2001 pathfinder and it pings under slight load occasionally without any related codes. Does anyone have any ideas on how to repair this problem without always having to use premium fuel.

hahaha sorry brother, the only way to make it stop pinging on lower octane fuel is to drive it only in high altitudes, like above 5000 feet it should stop pinging, so just move to the mountains Other than that, all u can do is use premium... come on bro just spend the extra dollar, unless your pathfinder is leased and u dont care about the engine
