2001 pathfinder made in 1999?

So I reccently purchased a 2001 SE pathfinder from a dealer. Before I bought the truck I ran a CarProof report on it to see the vehicle history. the report stated that the vehicle registration was first issued in 1999 and then renewed again in 2000 and 2001.

How is that possible if the truck is a 2001 model?

Because 2001 models usually go in sale 1 year beforehand, and the car was probably made at the end of 99. As long as you have the 3.5VQ in there you shouldn't worry.

Check the plate on the inside of the door jamb. There should be a date of manufacture on it.Like MajicM said though, if it has the 3.5, you should be OK.
