2001 Pathfinder LE power seat troubles?

Hello ,

does anyone have a source for those little plastic worm gears that actuate back and forward motion on the seats?

I disassembled both front seats and found these little guys to be cracked rendering the fore/aft seat function unusable. Only replacement that is offered at the dealer is the whole seat base at $895.00!!!.

Alternatively if someone knows if these gears were used on different Nissans ie maximas, sentra's etc maybe i could find some in a boneyard.

Any other suggestions?

Dude i honestly think your in trouble there. i had the same problem with the driverside seat in my green pathfinder and the only option i could find was the whole seat base. I rolled mine and got another one before i ended up buying that ****.

I guess making cars "greener" is a misnomer. I can't believe this part is not available separately. I will write a letter to the powers at be over at Nissan.

If all fails I guess i will make some of them little boogers..... any takers?

This will take a little longer, my wife is bugging me because she can not drive the car right now.

Any recommendations for any local ( SO CAL) Nissan only boneyards?

Theres a few Nissan only junkyards over here in San Diego.... but ive seen QX4's and pathfinders at random junkyards im sure u gotta have something near LA

I live in the OC and have been calling around to the local pickaparts but of course no one can tell me what the heck they have on the lot.

Prices are reasonable @ $40 per seat but who knows if they will work.

$40 per seat???? Are you making sure you asking for power seats? There are Pathfinders with manual seats too

has to be a manual seat, no way thats power. i would buy them right now even though i dont need them
