Hi Everyone:

New to the pathy and I was having a look at the condition of the spark plugs on the weekend when the coolant hose that runs to the throttle body popped off when I was removing the air intake to be able to get at the plugs. It just slipped off (can't believe that it didn't take all that much force to get it off with the little spring clip) - a tiny little bit of coolant poured out - not much really.

I placed it back on and have been watching temp and everything seems normal. I know on another vehicle I have that does requires a special bleed process, that the throttle body is the last place that get's bleed once the car is upto temp (which would be equivalent here)... but I wanted to be safe and confirm if I need to run through a proper bleed procedure (and yes, I will get moving on getting a service manual).

Thanks everyone,

Jaime

if you r not looking to change ur coolant now, then with the rad cap off, start the car and let it run and after it is warmed up just squeeze the upper hose and look for bubble but i really think u should b okay regardless if u do that or not

At the rear center of the engine, just in front of the firewall, is a metal tube witha rubber cap. That's the air bleed for the back end of the engine. Pull therubber cap off, top up the radiator, install radiator cap, install rubber cap.

I put the rubber cap on after the radiator cap because if you get the rad reallyfull, putting the rubber cap on will raise the coolant level a touch.
