I was sitting in my pathfinder idling with the radio and the ac on. I heard a pop and the car died. It turns out that what I heard was the ECM popping.
Apparently, the idle air control sensor fouled out and burned up my ECM.
I found a guy who can rebuild the ECM and he offers a lifetime warranty if I replace the sensor that fouled it out. I can't find anyone who will sell me the idle air control sensor. Everywhere I've looked they only offer the valve, which contains the sensor. It only sells as an assembly. I'm not sure why. Does anyone know if I can get the sensor by itself?
