2001 Pathfinder gauge problem
Hi folks,Hope someone can help, I have an 01 Pathfinder SE and after I drive on the Freeway for about 30 min. all my gauges start going nuts everything from shutting down to showing me doing 11,000 rpm and 160 mph while doing maybe 50 mph. Then when I pull off the Freeway and drive in traffic for 10-15 min the gauges go back to normal. I have a code reader and it does not register a problem. Any ideas?P.S.Great site it has solved several previous problems for me!!!!

Hmmm, thats really strange, could be just a loose connection in the back of the cluster, maybe try pulling out the clusterand try reconnecting all the connectors. Good luck.

I'd go with the loose cable theory as well unless someone else has input. .

ive had a similar problem on my 1998 pontiac sunfire.... happened a couple times....
i had a stereo system that was putting too much strain on the alternator. possibly your alternator too is going bad.
