Fellow Forum Members,
I have a 2001 Pathfinder LE and I'm having a vinyl sign shop cut me out in vinyl the word "PATHFINDER" so I can stick on to my hood air deflector. Does anyone out there know the name of the font used for the "Pathfinder" chrome letters that are located slightly above the rear license plate? I would like to match this font for the vinyl letters I am cutting out. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Even better, a link to where I could download such a font will also be appreciated. THanks in advance.

Something like these?

http://m.font.downloadatoz.com/font,580 ... n-regular/
http://www.fonts101.com/fonts/view/Unca ... 230/Nissan

I've never used either of those sites before, so use good sense and an antivirus program

Otherwise you can find an image of the lettering you like and convert it to an SVG by hand.

atraudes,
Thanks for your post. I think the font you posted is totally awesome. It looks very nice. However, it's not accurate for a 2001 Pathfinder LE model. Please take a look at the two photos below so you can see where the differences exist.

Below is a photo from my Nissan rug:

And below is a photo from my placard that is located right above the rear license plate:

The most noticeable difference between the two is the "A", the "N" and the "P". My hope is someone out there who knows a lot about fonts and typography can offer an opinion. Otherwise it looks like I"m going to have to create this font from scratch. Thanks in advance for any help. Cheers mates.

What color do you want the decal to be?

I've got 20 years experience in commercial printing, so I think that qualifies me. The Nissan font bears a slight resemblance to the NASA font. Unfortunately, as with most corporate logos, the Pathfinder font is a proprietary font, so you won't find it online unless someone goes to the trouble of scanning it to recreate it. That being said, there is a generic NISSAN font online, but it doesn't match the Pathfinder typeface.

The sign shop is most likely going to use Flexisign for vinyl cutting. You can give them this image to work with.

04pathse,
Looks like you hit the nail right on the head !!! It's the exact font I am looking for because it matches the one on my 2001 Pathfinder perfectly. PLEASE say you know the name of this font or better yet that you know where I could get this font already setup as a TTF font file for use with Corel Draw. Again thank you very much for your post. I hope to hear back from you soon with more info regarding this mystery font. Cheers Mate.

04pathse,
Thanks for your post. My plan is to output the decal on chrome vinyl. It looks exactly like chrome and it will like nice on top of my black wind deflector on top of my hood.
