I have a couple of issues with a 2001 Pathfinder SE.

1) Out of nowhere, when I press the unlock button on the remote, it now only unlocks the drivers door regardless of how many times I press it (the lights flash to confirm that I pressed it properly). This just started the other day.

2) The express function on the moonroof does nothing anymore. to open the roof I need to press the button about 15 times to move it step by step. Been an issue for a little while now.

3) passenger window express up function messed up. When I use it, the window goes all the way up and then backs off about 2 inches. First noticed after the car was involved in a fairly minor rearend collision.

Any help is appreciated.

On your sunroof: I found a Nissan TechTip on Sunroof Motor Replacement that gives the calibration procedures.

On the right hand side of the sunroof opening are two small round holes. The farther, smaller, one is only obvious if you tip up the sunroof. Line up the two holes (this will be a bit fiddly to get just right.). Record your radio presets. Disconnect battery for a couple of minutes. Reconnect battery. Runthe sunroof all the way back and all the way forward (the TechTip says don't use the automatic mode, but I accidentally did and it worked ). Reset the radio presets.

Update, 2013-07-09.

Here's a simpler procedure that doesn't mess up the radio and doesn't require any tools:

On the right hand side of the sunroof opening are two small round holes. The farther, smaller, one is only obvious if you tip up the sunroof. Line up the two holes (this will be a bit fiddly to get just right.). Pull fuse F. This fuse is in a box under the hood, US passenger's side, about half way between the radiator and the firewall. Fuse is 40A and labeled "Power Windows". It's just outboard of the big 110A fuse smack in the middle of the box. Put fuse F back after a couple of minutes. Run the sunroof all the way back and all the way forward with the left switch. (the TechTip says don't use the automatic mode, but I accidentally did and it worked ).

And somebody had trouble finding the two holes. Here's a picture. The big hole is obvious. The small hole is a couple of inches to the left, directly above the "T" at the beginning of "Tribolet" in the
copyright statement.

Did you ever resolve your passenger window problem? I'm having the same exact issue AND I beleive this car was in a rear end collision as well. Please let me know.

Thanks,Vannak

I haven't fixed it yet, but it looks like its going to need a new computer to fix, which seems to be quite a few hundred dollars. The dealer thinks there's a slim chance that they can reprogram the current one but the likelihood for needed replacement is high.

The passenger window problem is just calibration. It's an easy thing and isdocumented here somewhere, and the thread just came up in the last few days.
