My 2001 Pathfinder 2wd has been a great vehicle, but I have always had a rough ride due to bad shocks in the rear (I believe). Recently I changed tires and am now experiencing a “swerving” problem which I never had before. It gets really bad between 60 and 70 mph. I had Michelins but now have Firestone all terrain. The mechanic could not find any front end suspension problems. Any suggestions?

From past experience, and discussions on this subject on this forum, I would suspect the problem is in the back, not the front.Probably bad bushings.Fueler, you seem to be the expert on this subject, so if you're out there, chime in.

It's the trailing arm bushings, have them replaced and your Q will feel like new.
