2001 Pathfinder 0505

I bought a Nissan pathfinder (2001) engine light came on - code 0505 IAC . I changed the IAC valve with a Hitachi IAC and then it killed the computer. I sent the computer to be rebuilt and when it came back it stated I had to replace the IAC and the TPS. SO, I changed these again and put the car back together. Still ran rough... 0505 code came back on. I took it in and had the relearn done. The car ran amazing for 4 days. The engine light is back on. the Idle is insane. and the code.. again 0505. Nissan says I need the OEM IAC not a hitachi. does anyone know if I sink another few hundred dollars into this if this will actually fix the car?? Beyond frustrated with this.

That's strange, as I understand it the oem part is made by Hitachi. Rock Auto even lists it as the OEM part.

that's what I thought as well - but Rock Auto says it is the OE part not the OEM part... although I am really not sure what the difference would be (Original equipment vs Original Equipment manufacturer) Does anyone know how to correct the high idle on the pathfinder?

The FSM as well as many other posts here suggest you can do an idle relearn to fix the idle issue, there is the hokey pokey method and the consult dealer method, But I can’t remember seeing anyone having luck with the hokey pokey method. As you probably are aware your code suggests a bad ECM, but yours was fixed so I’m not sure about your code. Sorry, I can’t be more help.
