My husband noticed that the radiator fan is not kicking in and although the temperature gauge is not indicating that the car is overheating, it seems to be running awfully hot. Is there a way to test...what items should be checked....fuse seems ok. Turning air conditioner on turns the right sided (right side when viewing from under the hood) fan on left does not turn when AC is engaged.

Thanks to all who respond.

Question: are the relay switches interchangeable in order to test as fan one is working? Fuses are ok.

What makes you think it's running hot? Unless your sensor is bad (which would show other issues), there's no reason to second guess it.

The relays should be interchangeable. Remove the one that works and replace it with the one that doesn't. As far as the gauge goes, they usually work like they are suppose to. If its not reading hot, then it probably isn't. They are not as accurate as a after-market gauge, which would give you an actual temperature reading.
