I have a pathfinder that sat for about 2 years because i thought the transmission was bad but yesterday i put a battery in it and jumped it off and it was running fine. today i went to go crank it, while it did start up i started to rev it up and when i passed 2500 RPM a terrible noise came from the engine, almost sounded like the belt flipped off and it was losing power, the noise only lasted for bout 10 seconds then it cut off by itself, when i tried to re crank it, it cranked up then shut right back off, now it wont crank at all, making like a continous clicking noise. please help!! checked the belt and pulleys seemed fine.

Could be a number of things. Have you checked all of the fluids? If it was out of oil for whatever reason it would screech and seize up like that. I am not too sure what else would cause that if all of the belts are intact. Maybe the timing chain? Or even the alternator. If the alternator was bad it could scream like that, but it would take a while to drain a charged battery. You said you jumped it though, so I would start with charging the battery up fully and see if you can get it to start. If it does, then the alternator is what I would suspect.

I checked fluids and it has plenty of oil, wouldn't hurt to change it, it's a little dark. The noise was more like possibly a valve snapped maybe? I'm not sure, it was almost like a clunking noise. Which is not good I know, but I'm thinking possible that it was timing chain though

Ohh... That doesn't sound good. I would still start by making sure the battery is fully charged up and giving it another try at starting. If that doesn't work then you will need to have a professional look at it unless anyone else can chime in here.
Will it turn over or does it just click like the battery is dead? If it turns over then don't bother charging the battery up. You could cause damage if you continue to try and start it, but if it isn't even turning over then start by charging the battery.

Well it's a continuous click when I try and turn it over, very annoying sound. But I took the battery out and put it in my truck and the truck cranked up fine. So maybe alternator? I'd hate to replace it then something in the engine be wrong, thanks for replying

It's tough to say for sure since the pathfinder and the other truck probably have different starting current demands. That is why I was going to say to charge it up all the way and try it in your pathfinder again. However if I had to guess I would say it isn't the alternator. All of the electrical components in your car are run from the battery. The alternator charges the battery so if it were bad, the car would die and the car wouldn't start or run.
Since your battery seems to work in another vehicle, I would guess it is another issue and without being there to tinker and pull things apart it is very hard to suggest what to do. Do you have any mechanic friends? Haha

Yeah I do, and I actually work at a parts store, haha but I've talked to people and they would just have to hear it but idk if I can get it to do it again without buying a battery for it, which I might have to do.

If you work at a parts store then just try to charge the battery up. When I say its dead, I only mean it needs charged.

Well I put the battery in it again just to make sure I had a good connection and it cranked up but was idling terrible, RPM was very close to 0, and it was shaking very bad? Smoking a little out of the tailpipe. Thought fuel pump? But that wouldn't make it smoke or would it?

Probably not. Don't crank it again. It sounds like you have something caught in the engine.
