I parked my truck and the next day didn't start.
1/4 tank of fuel and i added 2 gallon high test to be sure it had fuel in it.
I checked all the fuses buy not the relays as I don't know how to do that.
Under the dash there is a fuse panel and there is a 7.5 amp fuse that has no power getting to it.
I'm at work and I brought the fuse box cover and I don't remember if if was the Eng Cont.( second row second to the last fuse) or the third row second from the bottom as well.
Where does that fuse get it's power from?
Does the security light on the dash need to be on or off when trying to start it?
Does the security light stay on while running?

Thank you in advance for your help.

I promise to post the results for others to learn :yesnod

Do you get anything when you try to start (Ex: engine cranks but no start, no crank, not even a click sound when you turn the key )...

To start an engine, you need 3 things.. air, gas and sparks... I assume your air intake is not clogged. gas is easy to simulate by injecting starting fluid in the intake (like yngw13 said). If it starts, you know it has something to do with the provision of gas to the engine.. Could be the fuel pump, regulator, fuse etc... At least you would know it is fuel related.

Now if it does not start with starting fluid, then you know it is something to do with sparks... Now since the 2001 has coil on plugs, I doubt that all your coils have gone bad, so it would have to be something else. Now since the ECM relys on many sensors (crank, cam, temp, etc..) to send the signal to create a spark, you would have to investigate a little more. Do you have any pending codes ?
