2001 Nissan Altima Gauges drop to zero, car kind of still runs. HELP

2001 Nissan Altima 40,000 miles

Intermittently while driving all of the gauges and odometer will go to stop working but the dash is still illuminated and the car still drives fine at low speeds without working gauges. If I stop the car and restart it, sometimes the gauges will go back to normal. Or sometimes only the speedometer and tachometer will go back to normal but the gas and temperature gauges remain at zero. However, when the gauges stop working while driving on the freeway the car decelerates. When I press on the gas it fells like the car is stuck in neutral or it is having a difficult time shifting gears and the car just continues to slow down. Pressing the gas does not accelerate the car. When I restart the car, and it happens again. When I restarted the car a second time and everything is fine. Sometimes I don’t even need to restart the car and everything will go back to normal. Help please. The dealership says there is nothing wrong with the car. They can't find anything.
